Hello! I would like to introduce myself to you- I am the reading specialist here at Pattie Elementary and I am truly excited to be here for another year! I will be working closely with your children's teachers to provide additional support to your child in reading. Please contact me if you have any questions!

S.E.A.L Volunteer Program
What is the S.E.A.L Volunteer Program?
This program is designed to utilize parent volunteers to help support the literacy skills needed in kindergarten, first and second grades through one-on-one time with young readers.
What does it involve?
All S.E.A.L volunteers must go through the mandatory volunteer information session, September 30th or October 7th as well as two other training sessions with Mrs. Schaffer, the reading teacher.
There will also be additional training as needed throughout the school year.
A S.E.A.L volunteer must be able to volunteer 1 hour a week on a regular basis.
How do you get involved? Just send me an email at schaffmm@pwcs.edu. Please include your name, your child's teacher, the grade you would like to work with as well as your phone number. If you have been unable to attend a training session but you would still like to become a SEAL volunteer the next training session will be Friday November 6th @ 1 PM in room 13 at Big Pattie!
